Below is an updated list of completed and ongoing projects executed during Governor Seyi Makinde’s tenure between June 2019 and May 2024. Most of these projects are listed with pictures under ongoing projects, completed projects, and on the FeedbackOYSG social media pages.   1. Renovation of 209 Primary Healthcare Centres across Oyo State. 93 PHCs are outstanding, and 51 additional PHCs will be upgraded to make 351

  3. Solarised Pressure Swing Adsorption Medical Oxygen Plant and Level 2 Newborn Unit at Jericho Specialist Hospital, Ibadan  (Facilitated by UNICEF, CHAI and NACA)

  1. Purchase of operational vehicles for security agencies in the State
    1. 100 operational vehicles equipped with communications gadgets to the Nigeria Police Force
    2. 5 operational vehicles to Police Mobile Force Squadron which commenced operations at Ago-Are in Oke-Ogun
    3. 25 operational vehicles to Nigeria Police Force and “Operation Burst”
    4. 33 operational vehicles and 396 motorcycles to Oyo Amotekun
    5. 2 additional operational vehicles to Oyo Amotekun and Oyo Amotekun (along with motorcycles)

  13. Provision of 58 hectares of land and grant of N500 million for the establishment of a Permanent Base of the 671 Nigerian Air Force Detachment at Ajia, Ona-Ara Local Government Area
  14. Provision of communication gadgets, bulletproof vests etc., for security operatives
  15. Set up an Emergency Operations Centre in response to the Bodija incident of January 2024

  1. Attracted over N35 billion worth of Agribusiness private sector investment to Oyo State (as of 2022)
  2. Construction of Fasola Agribusiness Industrial Hub, Oyo (fully subscribed and nearly completed)
  3. Revamping of Moribund Facilities:
    1. Pacesetter Quarry and Asphalt Plant, Ijaiye (completed)
    2. Reconstruction of OYSADA Headquarters, Saki (completed)
    3. Upgrade of the Oyo State-IITA Youth Agribusiness Incubation Park Centre, Awe
    4. Agricultural Equipment Training and Fabrication Centre, Apata (PPP)
  4. Biometric capture of 10,000 farmers
  5. Distribution of farm inputs to smallholder farmers under the OYS-CARES programme
  6. Installation of Start Them Early Program (STEP) in 13 schools across the State
  7. Training of 3,300 youths under the Youth Entrepreneurship in Agribusiness Project (YEAP)
  8. Empowerment of 100 females in Agribusiness through the SEFAN/SWEAN project
  9. Execution of the Sustainable Actions for Economic Recovery (SAfER) package. Components are enumerated below:
    1. N500 million disbursed as low-interest loans to 2,085 traders, artisans, small and micro business owners and market men and women
    2. N1 billion disbursed as low-interest agricultural loans to 3,525 smallholder farmers
    3. SAfER YEAP low-interest loans approved to youths in agribusiness (in progress)
    4. Distribution of grains provided by the Federal Government by the Oyo State Ministry of Agriculture to 2,000 poultry farmers as feed
    5. 1,000 fish farmers supported with fish feed
    6. 40,000 health insurance premium paid for pensioners in 2024
    7. Health insurance premiums paid for students in Oyo State-owned higher institutions for the year 2024
    8. Health insurance premiums paid for 84,000 vulnerable citizens of Oyo State for the year 2024
    9. Payment of N15,000 to pensioners and N25,000 to civil servants as wage award for six months starting October 2023. A further extension of payments for another six months up till October 2024
    10. Resumption in the payment of gratuities to pensioners. N206 million was paid to 92 pensioners on 11 September 2023 and gratuities have been paid monthly since then.
    11. Provision of Omituntun Bus Service at subsidised rates for intracity and intercity movements. This serves over 20,000 people daily
