An update and pictures of the ongoing construction of the 5.5 km Adegbayi Junction-Bus Terminal-Iwo Road Interchange in Ibadan. The project which was awarded to Kopek Construction Limited by the Oyo State Government commenced in January 2022 and is about 75% complete. It is estimated to be completed in February 2024.
The Adegbayi Junction-Bus Terminal-Iwo Road Interchange project consists of the expansion of the road, construction of an underpass, double box culverts and lined drains. The project is strategic to the economy of Oyo State because it addresses the traffic gridlock that would have been caused by buses using the Iwo Road Bus Terminals when it is completed next year, and will reduce the man-hours that would have been spent in traffic in that axis.
