A final update and pictures of the completed dualisation of the 3.2 km Ibadan Airport Road. This project which was awarded in December 2021 by the Oyo State Government to Kopek Construction Ltd, commenced in February 2022. The Ibadan Airport Road dualisation project was inspected by Governor Seyi Makinde on January 21, 2023, where he revealed that the project was almost complete. The project was completed a month later in February 2023.

The now-completed dualisation of the Ibadan Airport Road also covers the rehabilitation of adjoining roads along the airport axis and the rehabilitation of spur roads around the Iwo Road Interchange including the 2 km road from Oludare to Bishop Phillips. With this the Oyo State Government’s plan to expand the economy and develop the area around the Ibadan Airport into an aerotropolis is a step closer to reality.
