A further update on the ongoing expansion of the river bank and construction of the Ogbere-Tioya Bridge, Ibadan under the Ibadan Urban Flood Management Project (IUFMP). Read more about the IUFMP here.

The progress on this World Bank assisted project stalled because of a technical issue at the site of the project. The presence of rocks at the Ogbere-Tioya Bridge site which if blasted, would have affected houses in the area, meant that the project had to be stopped. The contractors resumed work after the technical issue was addressed. A revised completion date for the project will be communicated in due course.
