Reconstruction of the 12 km Apete-Awotan-Akufo Road Update

An update and pictures of the ongoing reconstruction of the rigid pavement (concrete) 12 km Apete-Awotan-Akufo Road. This reconstruction project which was initially scheduled to be completed in 2021 is running behind schedule. So far, 10 km out of the 12 km of the reconstruction project has been completed.

The 12 km Apete-Awotan-Akufo Road is the first rigid pavement road construction in Oyo State which is more expensive and lasts longer than asphalt roads. Upon completion, the Apete-Awotan-Akufo Road will provide easy access to the Akufo Farm Settlement, the Awotan Landfill, and other businesses strategic to the state’s economy.
