Ongoing IUFMP: The reconstruction of the bridge at Zartech-7UP Road, Oluyole

An update and pictures of the reconstruction of the bridge at Zartech-7UP Road, Oluyole, a World Bank-assisted project executed by the Ibadan Urban Flood Management Project (IUFMP). The reconstruction of the bridge at Zartech-7UP Road is being done to match the ongoing IUFMP Ona River channelisation, similar to the reconstruction of the bridge at Odo Ona Kekere, the reconstruction of the bridge at Agara Akala Way, and the construction of a bridge at Odo Ona Apata area.

The reconstruction of the bridge at Zartech-7UP Road began on 27 February 2024 and is estimated to be completed by the end of April 2024. The road beside SUMAL fence just before BOVAS Filling Station linking Total Filling Station through Alaafin Avenue is being used as the alternative route for motorists while the bridge is being reconstructed.

In addition to the IUFMP reconstruction of the bridge at Zartech-7UP Road, there are other ongoing IUFMP flood prevention projects, river expansions and channelisation at Ogbere (North)AgodiOrogun, Kudeti and Odo Ona Kekere/Elewe in Ibadan, with over 24 IUFMP flood prevention projects ongoing and completed in Ibadan.
