The Oyo State Government paid a backlog of gratuities to 378 Local Government retirees. The Chairman of the Local Government Staff Pension Board, Prince Adebayo Adeyemi, speaking at the presentation event held at the Water Corporation Building, restated the Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration’s commitment to clearing all outstanding gratuities in the state. He also urged the retirees to support government policies and use their gratuities judiciously. (April 24, 2022)
Governor Seyi Makinde attended the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) 14th Combined Convocation Ceremonies in Ogbomosho. While attending the 14th combined convocation ceremonies at LAUTECH in Ogbomoso, Governor Seyi Makinde commissioned the Seyi Makinde Innovation and Technology Hub (SMITH) of the Centre for Emerging Skills Technology (CEST) which includes new age technological facilities. Speaking at the joint commissioning ceremony, Governor Obaseki commended Governor Seyi Makinde for delivering the two massive bus terminals among other projects despite the current economic challenges in the country. Governor Makinde, in his remarks at the palace, acknowledged that the transitioning of the Alaafin of Oyo would leave a gap in the lives of the good people of Oyo State and Nigerians. INEC discloses that over 45,000 Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) are ready for collection in Oyo State.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) disclosed that over 45,000 Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) belonging to voters who registered between June 28 and December 2021 are ready for collection in Oyo State. In her public address, the Head of Department, Voters Education, and Publicity, at INEC in Oyo State, Mrs. Rosemary Adeniyi, urged concerned voters to visit the commission’s offices across the 33 local government areas of the state for collection.
