Project Update: Remodelling and Upgrade of the Oyo State High Court, Ring Road

An update and pictures of the rehabilitation/reconstruction of Oyo State High Court Complex, Ring Road, Ibadan. This public-private partnership between the Oyo State Government and Messrs Rtd Thompsons Limited is facilitated by the Oyo State Investment and Public Private Partnership Agency (OYSIPA) and will be executed using the Alternative Project Funding Approach (APFA).

The project was approved on 22 June 2022, by the Oyo State Executive Council and the scope of the project covers the rehabilitation/reconstruction of:

1. Oyo State High Court Complex, Ring Road including the construction of a new theatre hall.
2. Magistrate Court Complex Iyaganku including the completion of the Customary Court.

Both projects were scheduled to be completed in nine (9) months each, totalling eighteen (18) months.

The rehabilitation of the Oyo State High Court Complex, Ring Road includes 16 courtrooms which have been completed (this also includes the road within the court that has also been tarred). The construction of a 2,000-capacity theatre hall is currently ongoing.

The project for the rehabilitation and upgrade of the Oyo State High Court, Ring Road and Magistrate Court, Iyaganku is one of several projects receiving attention in the other sectors of the Oyo State economy.
