A further update and pictures of the reconstruction, rehabilitation and expansion of the Ibadan-Iwo-Osogbo Road which was flagged off on 27 October 2022. The project has three sections, with work currently ongoing on the first section; the Iwo Road interchange to Olodo Bridge (7.7 km). In our biweekly report on the construction of the Olodo Bridge on 14 December 2023, we also reported that work had resumed on the Ibadan-Iwo-Osogbo Road project. Prior to the recent resumption, work had been focused on the construction of the new two-span Olodo Bridge which collapsed in July 2023.

The construction of the first phase of the two-span Olodo Bridge is scheduled to be completed by February 2024, and the 35.53 km Ibadan-Iwo-Osogbo Road project is scheduled to be completed by Q4 2024. The completion of the Ibadan-Iwo-Osogbo Road project which includes the construction of the two-span Olodo Bridge will resolve the traffic congestion issues at the Olodo Axis.

  1. Stop deceiving the general public on the rehabilitation of iwo Road interchange to olodo bank, the way work was done in alakia to gate, road Is it thesame as that of olodo. You guy are patchwork with thinning layer asphat . Heaven knows the engels can not compare the work done at elebu Road with that of olodo the difference is too clear
Elebu Road, and gate -alakia Road are more better. We want good job done on olodo Road. Thanks

    1. Hello, if you have a complaint about the work done on the Ibadan-Iwo-Osogbo Road, you can state it without making false allegations against the government. This post is an update on the ongoing project which is supervised by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport. The project must meet with the specifications laid down by the government before it will be deemed completed.
