An update and pictures of the ongoing Agodi River channelisation undertaken under the Ibadan Urban Flood Management Project (IUFMP). To learn more about the IUFMP, read here. This World Bank-assisted project is for the construction of the first pool of long-term investments for flood control at Agodi, Orogun, Kudeti and Ogbere North in Ibadan.
Several culverts crossing the Agodi River channelisation are also being constructed. Other ongoing IUFMPs including river expansions and channelisations are at Orita Aperin, Oranyan, and Oluyole Estate in Ibadan. A list of 24 ongoing IUFMPs in Oyo State is contained here.
