An update and pictures of the ongoing Ona River channelisation, along the Odo Ona Kekere-Arapaja route, through the Odo Ona Elewe-Apata axis, Ibadan. This is one of several flood control measures being constructed under the Ibadan Urban Flood Management Project (IUFMP). Questions about the IUFMP are answered here.
In addition to the IUFMP Ona River channelisation, there are other ongoing IUFMP river expansions and channelisation at Orita Aperin, Agodi, Orogun, Kudeti, Oluyole Estate and Ogbere North in Ibadan. In total, there are over 24 ongoing IUFMP flood prevention projects ongoing and completed in Ibadan.
