An update and pictures of the nearly completed construction of Labo Culvert, Oranyan Area, Ibadan. This project is one of several flood control measures being undertaken under the Ibadan Urban Flood Management Project (IUFMP). You may read more about the IUFMP here. The project commenced in April 2022 and is now nearly complete.
The Labo Culvert is a 1-cell culvert with a dimension of (8×2.5×17)metres that can accommodate the volume of run-off as well as serve as a bridge for both pedestrians and vehicles. Other ongoing IUFMPs are at Orita Aperin, Agodi, Orogun, Kudeti, Oluyole Estate and Ogbere North in Ibadan. View a list of 24 ongoing IUFMPs in Oyo State here.
