Update on the Construction of 360 Housing Units at Ajoda New Town Estate, Egbeda LGA

A further update on the ongoing construction of of 360 housing units at Ajoda New Town Estate, Ibadan-Ife Road, Egbeda Local Government Area. This project is in keeping with the manifesto promise to “facilitate private sector driven housing delivery through variants of public-private partnership (PPP) initiatives” as contained in Governor Seyi Makinde’s Roadmap to Accelerated Development in Oyo State 2019-2023.

The Ajoda New Town Housing project which contains 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom houses, is a PPP collaboration with Remax Realtors Limited. The Oyo State Government through the Oyo State Housing Corporation is providing thirteen (13) hectares of land for the scheme, while the developer, Remax Realtors Limited will solely finance the entire project at a cost of N2.5 billion.

The construction of Ajoda New Town Estate was flagged off by Governor Seyi Makinde in September 2020.
