An update and pictures of the ongoing construction work at the Magistrate Court Complex, Iyaganku, which includes the completion of the Customary Court. This project is a public-private partnership between the Oyo State Government and Messrs Rtd Thompsons Limited, facilitated by the Oyo State Investment and Public Private Partnership Agency (OYSIPA). The project is being executed using the Alternative Project Funding Approach (APFA).
The scope of the project covers the rehabilitation and reconstruction of:
- Magistrate Court Complex, Iyaganku, including the completion of the Customary Court.
- Oyo State High Court Complex, Ring Road, which includes constructing a new 2,000-capacity theatre hall.
Both projects are currently running behind schedule of their initial completion dates last year but are now making good progress. A revised completion date will be communicated in due course.
The Magistrate Court Complex, Iyaganku, and the rehabilitation of the Oyo State High Court Complex, Ring Road, which includes 16 courtrooms (this also includes tarring the road within the court), are among several projects receiving attention across various sectors of the Oyo State economy.
