An update and pictures of the reconstruction of the Olorunda, Aare Alasa Market, Akanran, Ona Ara Local Government Area, by the Oyo State Government under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP). RAAMP is co-funded by the Oyo State Government, the World Bank and the French Development Agency (AFD).

The Aare Alasa Market reconstruction is included in the contracts awarded for the upgrade of three rural markets in Oyo State. It is is being executed by Quickbond Nigeria Limited.

In addition to the Olorunda, Aare Alasa Market, Akanran, upgrade works are ongoing at Oja Agbe market in Iseyin LGA and Oja Oba Market in Ibarapa Central LGA. Improvements are also being done to market facilities and access roads.

Under RAAMP, the rehabilitation of the 37.1 km Alako–Idiya–Batake–Olowa–Ijaiye Farm Settlement Road in Ido LGA, the 6.82 km FRSC (Ago Are–Saki Link)–Okudi Oyada (Tede) Road, Atisbo and Saki West Local Government Areas, the 4.73 km Tewure Market-Ila Junction road in Oriire LGA, the Fasola Farm Settlement Road Network (8.43 km) in Oyo West LGA, Oloko Oyo Junction, Ikere Road, Iseyin LGA (21.96 km), and the 8.85 km at Adebayo-Alata-Obebe-Aba Oje Road, Oluyole LGA, are also ongoing.

The intervention aims to improve market access, boost agricultural trade, and strengthen rural economic activities across Oyo State.
