Update on the Reconstruction of the 21km Airport–Ajia–New Ife Express Road With a Spur to Amuloko, Ibadan

A third update and pictures of the ongoing reconstruction of the 21km Airport–Ajia–New Ife Express Road with a spur to Amuloko, Ibadan. The contract was awarded to Messrs Peculiar Ultimate Concerns Limited by the Oyo State Government and is being implemented under the Alternative Project Funding Approach (APFA).

The reconstruction of the 21km Airport–Ajia–New Ife Express Road with a spur to Amuloko, Ibadan, is running behind schedule as it was originally scheduled to be completed by March 2022. However, when the project was inspected by the Oyo State Ministry of Works and Transport on February 21, 2022, the project was adjudged 56 per cent complete. The Commissioner for Works and Transport, Professor Dahud Shangodoyin, has directed the contractor to increase the pace of the reconstruction to achieve more before the rains start. The new expected date of delivery is August 2022.
