Update on the Reconstruction of the 12km Apete-Awotan-Akufo Road

A further update and pictures of the ongoing reconstruction of the 12km Apete-Awotan-Akufo Road. The reconstruction of the rigid pavement (concrete) Apete-Awotan-Akufo Road was commenced at the end of 2020 and was initially slated for completion in 2021, but the project is now running behind schedule.

When completed, the 12km Apete-Awotan-Akufo Road will ease movement to the Akufo Farm Settlement which is earmarked to be converted to an agribusiness industrial hub with a Rungis-styled international farmers’ market, the Awotan Landfill and other businesses strategic to the economy of Oyo State.
