Progress Report: LGA Reconstruction of the 6.45 km Olodo Garage-Kasumu-Ajia Junction Linking Erunmu-Egbeda Road

A further update and pictures of the ongoing reconstruction of the 6.45 km Olodo Garage-Kasumu-Ajia Junction Linking Erunmu-Egbeda Road, Owobaale Town. The Olodo Garage-Kasumu-Ajia Junction reconstruction project which the Egbeda Local Government Council is executing was awarded to Fax Consult Ltd and commenced in October 2023.

The project which was scheduled to be completed in April 2024, is running behind schedule though considerable progress is being made on the Olodo Garage-Kasumu-Ajia Junction Road, with advanced work on drainage systems and hydraulics which are crucial to the road’s long-term functionality. Asphaltic tarring of the road is currently underway to ensure the project is completed for use by residents and commuters.

Once completed, the Olodo Garage-Kasumu-Ajia Junction Road will help in the control and flow of water in the area, improve access, provide a seamless flow of traffic, and boost local commerce. In addition to the Olodo Garage-Kasumu-Ajia Junction Road, the Egbeda Local Government Council is also executing the construction of Iyana Opa-Musa/Ifesowapo Road 1, 2, 3 off Ikumapayi Road, Olodo Garage.
