A further update on the reconstruction of the 34.85km Oyo-Iseyin Road. The project was awarded under the Alternative Project Funding Approach (APFA) to Messrs Kopek Construction Limited by the Oyo State Government.
While the reconstruction of the Oyo-Iseyin Road commenced in July 2021, it was officially flagged off on December 16, 2021, and is expected to be completed in May 2022. The Oyo-Iseyin Road which is a federal road, is important to the economy of Oyo State, as it provides a vital link between the Oyo and Oke-Ogun Zones of the state. The road also provides access to the Fasola Agribusiness Industrial Hub which is being redeveloped by the Oyo State Government.
