An update and pictures of the ongoing reconstruction of a 2 km road network covering Balogun-Alalubosa, Apara, Oke Apo, and Ajagba-Ogese areas, being executed by the Oyo East Local Government Council.
The project covers Balogun-Alalubosa Road (557 m), Apara Road (313 m), and Oke Apo Road (215 m), with approximately 1.1 km of road reconstruction completed across the three sections. The remaining 900 m is currently ongoing, with hydraulic drainage works being carried out along the Ajagba-Ogese area. The project is being executed by Quickborn Nigeria Limited.
The ongoing reconstruction forms part of efforts by the Oyo East Local Government Council to improve road infrastructure, enhance accessibility across communities, and facilitate the movement of residents, goods and services. This project also follows the recently completed reconstruction of the 1.9 km Oba Adeyemi-Mobolaje-St Francis-Baba Iluoyibo Road network in Oyo East LGA, alongside ongoing road projects across the Oyo West LGA, including the 1.5 km Ladindin-Iseke-Ojongbodu-Oloko Meje-Ladigbolu Road. These projects reflect continued investments by local government councils to improve road infrastructure and connectivity across communities.
Upon completion, the Balogun-Alalubosa, Apara, Oke Apo, and Ajagba-Ogese reconstruction project is expected to provide improved connectivity contributing to increased socio-economic activities and development within Oyo East Local Government Area.
