An update and pictures of the reconstruction, rehabilitation and expansion of the Ibadan-Iwo-Osogbo Road. The project is divided into three sections; Iwo Road interchange to Olodo Bridge (7.7 km), dualisation of Olodo Bridge to Ogunmakarun junction (500 m), and Ogunmakarun Junction to Odo Oba (27.33 km) totalling 35.53 km.
The Ibadan-Iwo-Osogbo Road project was flagged off on October 27, 2022 at Osogbo as it is being executed by both Osun and Oyo States with each state responsible for fixing the part of the road within its borders. On January 19, 2023, Governor Seyi Makinde assured that under Omituntun 2.0, the traffic congestion issues at the Olodo Axis will be resolved by the completion of the Ibadan-Iwo-Osogbo Road project which includes the dualisation of Olodo Bridge.
