New Project: Rehabilitation of Iwo Road Roundabout and Expansion of the Scope of the Ongoing Reconstruction of the Adegbayi Junction-Bus Terminal-Iwo Road Interchange

This is an update and pictures of a new project: the rehabilitation of the Iwo Road Roundabout and the expansion of the scope of the ongoing reconstruction of the Adegbayi Junction-Bus Terminal-Iwo Road Interchange. The rehabilitation project was approved by the Oyo State Executive Council on Tuesday, 10 December 2024. The expansion of the scope of ongoing reconstruction at the Adegbayi Junction-Bus Terminal-Iwo Road Interchange along the Ibadan-Ife Expressway was also approved at this meeting.

The expansion of the ongoing reconstruction of the Adegbayi Junction-Bus Terminal-Iwo Road Interchange will address the persistent traffic congestion during peak hours. The rehabilitation of the Iwo Road Roundabout is also timely as it addresses persistent reports of flooding during the rainy season.

A notable project around this axis is the construction of Terminals 1 and 2 of the Iwo Road Bus Interchange, Ibadan, which are the outstanding of the four bus terminals being constructed by the Oyo State Government.
