An update on a new project – the reconstruction of Iyaganku-Seventh Day-Oke Bola Junction and Olubadan Stadium Junction-Vale College-NUJ Press Centre Junction with a spur to Total Filling Station-Radio Nigeria-Kobiowu Estate Akinyemi Junction, Ring Road (3.85 km). The Iyaganku-Seventh Day-Oke Bola Junction and Olubadan Stadium Junction-Vale College-NUJ Press Centre Junction project is a part of Lot 1 of 10 roads approved for reconstruction on 5 December 2023 by the Oyo State Executive Council. The Executive Council approved the reconstruction of a total of 12 roads in Ibadan.
The Mile 110-Ring Road Mobil-Challenge Car Park (8.5 km) and 5.48 km General Gas Junction-Kolapo Ishola GRA-Iyana Church are projects under Lot 1 of approved roads to be reconstructed in Ibadan that have also commenced. These (including the Iyaganku-Seventh Day-Oke Bola Junction and Olubadan Stadium Junction-Vale College-NUJ Press Centre Junction project) and 7 other roads in Lot 1 are being handled by Kopek Construction Ltd and are to be completed within 12 months.
Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration has promised that more feeder roads in Oyo State will be repaired under Omituntun 2.0.
