An update and pictures of a new project – the dualisation of the 8.3 km Akobo-Ojurin/Odogbo Barracks-Olorunda Abaa Junction Road. The project for the dualisation of the 8.3 km Akobo-Ojurin-Olorunda Abaa Road was awarded by Governor Seyi Makinde on Friday, May 26, 2023, and was flagged off on Friday, June 9, 2023.

Governor Makinde during the flag-off ceremony stated that the Akobo-Ojurin-Olorunda Abaa Road is vital to the people of Lagelu Local Government Area as it connects Akobo to Olorunda Abaa and will bring development to that axis. His Excellency also renamed the dual carriageway stretching from Idi Ape to Olorunda Abaa the Governor Nyesom Wike Road.

The Akobo-Ojurin-Olorunda Abaa dualisation project which the Lagelu Local Government Council is executing is one of the numerous road projects being managed by local government councils in Oyo State.
