An update and pictures of the ongoing reconstruction of the 34.85 km Oyo-Iseyin Road awarded under the Alternative Project Funding Approach (APFA) to Messrs Kopek Construction Limited by the Oyo State Government.
The reconstruction of the Oyo-Iseyin Road which commenced in July 2021, and was expected to be completed in May 2022 is currently running behind schedule partly because of the construction of the Ogun River Bridge which is now nearing completion. The Commissioner for Public Works and Transportation, Professor Dahud Shangodoyin, revealed this when he paid an inspection visit to the project site on April 21, 2023. Professor Shangodoyin further said that while the drainage work is nearing 100% completion, the asphalt laying is about 82% completed. Thus, the project is scheduled to be completed before the end of September 2023.
The Oyo-Iseyin Road is a federal road that links the Oyo and Oke-Ogun Zones which makes it important to the economy of the state. The Fasola Agribusiness Industrial Hub, Fasola which is also being redeveloped by the Oyo State Government will be easily accessed via the Oyo-Iseyin Road when the reconstruction of the road is completed.
God will give the Oyo State Government under the leadership of Eng. Seyi Makinde, the power to finish the good work in Jesus name, we appreciate it so much
Thank you for your kind words and prayer.
