A further update and pictures of the ongoing dualisation of the 3.2km Ibadan Airport Road. This project which was flagged off in December 2021, was awarded by the Oyo State Government to Kopek Construction Ltd. The project scope also covers the rehabilitation of adjoining roads along the airport axis and the rehabilitation of spur roads around the Iwo Road Interchange including the 2km road from Oludare to Bishop Phillips.

The Ibadan Airport Road dualisation is part of the Oyo State Government’s plan to expand the economy and develop the area around the Ibadan Airport into an aerotropolis. This development also includes the ongoing installation of an aviation tank farm, the completed remodelling of the airport’s VIP lounge, and the donation of a fire truck for use in the airport.
