An update and pictures of the limited rehabilitation of the 83.83 km Saki-Iseyin Road, a federal road being undertaken by the Oyo State Government. The Saki-Iseyin Road rehabilitation project which began in December 2024 is progressing steadily.

The promise to rehabilitate the road was made by His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, during the flag-off of the reconstruction of the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA) Headquarters in Saki. This facility has since been commissioned.

Sgnificant progress has been recorded on key sections of the Saki-Iseyin Road. From Iseyin to Ipapo (20 km), surface regulation is substantially completed, with only a few areas remaining. The Ipapo to Okaka (16 km) section has seen asphaltic resurfacing completed up to CH35+000. Meanwhile, the Okaka to Alaga (10 km) segment is progressing, with stone base work currently ongoing at CH46+000. However, no work has commenced on the Alaga to Saki (37.3 km) section.

The Saki-Iseyin Road rehabilitation remains a crucial infrastructure project aimed at improving accessibility and creating better driving conditions for residents and commuters in the Oke Ogun Zone. The Oyo State Government remains committed to seeing this project through, ensuring that the road meets the required standards upon completion. Once completed, the 83.83 km Saki-Iseyin Road will play a vital role in boosting economic activities within the region. Further updates on progress and completion timelines will be communicated as work advances. Other federal roads fixed by the OYSG include the 65 km Moniya-Iseyin Road, the 34.85 km Oyo-Iseyin Road and the 35.3 km Ibadan-Iwo-Osogbo Road among others.
