An update and pictures of the ongoing rehabilitation of the 6.82 km FRSC (Ago Are–Saki Link)–Okudi Oyada (Tede) Road, Atisbo and Saki West Local Government Areas under RAAMP.
Construction activities are progressing on the 6.82 km FRSC (Ago Are–Saki Link)–Okudi Oyada (Tede) Road in Atisbo and Saki West Local Government Areas. This corridor is a key rural link within the Oke-Ogun Zone. Works include culverts and drainage, bridge components where required, and a single-coat surface dressing designed for durability on high-use rural routes. Delivery remains on track within the planned project timeline.
This intervention supports wider outcomes beyond road repairs by:
- Improving farm-to-market access for agricultural produce,
- Reducing transport time and costs for rural producers and traders, and
- Strengthening agribusiness activity and livelihoods.
The project forms part of RAAMP’s objectives in Oyo State, which is improving 87.89 km of rural roads across seven LGAs statewide. Recent updates have highlighted these works, including the 4.73 km Tewure Market–Ila Junction Road in Oriire LGA, the 37.1 km Alako–Idiya–Batake–Olowa Farm Settlement–Ijaiye Road in Ido LGA, and upgrades to rural markets such as Oja Agbe Market in Iseyin LGA, Olorunda Aare Alasa Market in Akanran (Ona Ara LGA), and Oja Oba Market in Ibarapa Central LGA.
Together, these coordinated road and market interventions reflect the commitment of the Oyo State Government to improving market access and driving inclusive economic growth through agriculture.
Further updates on ongoing RAAMP roads and market projects will be shared via the Oyo State Government Feedback Service platforms on Facebook, Instagram, X, and this blog here.
