An update and pictures of the reconstruction of the 8.85 km Adebayo-Alata-Obebe-Aba Oje Road, Oluyole LGA, by the Oyo State Government under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project.
The Adebayo-Alata-Obebe-Aba Oje Road project covers the reconstruction of the road, alongside the construction of bridges and culverts and the application of single coat surface dressing, aimed at improving durability, safety, and year-round accessibility. The Adebayo–Alata–Obebe–Aba Oje Road is one of six key rural roads currently being upgraded under the project.
The other roads include the 37.1 km Alako–Idiya–Batake–Olowa Farm Settlement-Ijaiye in Ido LGA; the 6.82 km FRSC (Ago Are–Saki Link)–Okudi Oyada (Tede) Road in Atisbo and Saki West LGAs; the 4.73 km Tewure Market–Ila Junction Road in Oriire LGA; the 8.43 km Fasola Farm Settlement Road Network in Oyo West LGA; and the 21.96 km Oloko Oyo Junction–Ikere Road in Iseyin LGA.
Beyond road infrastructure, the Oyo State Government, through RAAMP, is also upgrading three rural markets: Aare Alasa Market in Ona Ara LGA, Oja Agbe Market in Iseyin LGA, and Oja Oba Market in Ibarapa Central LGA.
These interventions are designed to improve rural access, enhance agricultural value chains, support safer movement, and stimulate economic activities across beneficiary communities.
