An update and pictures from the ongoing reconstruction of the 6.8 km Niko Engineering Off Wire and Cable-Ita Faaji to Opopin Road, including spurs to All Saints College Road and Akinyo Close, Ibadan, by Ido Local Government Council.
The project, which has a 12-month construction period from July 2026, covers a road that has attracted repeated complaints over the years. Its reconstruction is expected to improve access and movement for residents and other road users along the route. Progress is being made and construction is ongoing since our first update 10 weeks ago.
As work progresses, the focus remains on delivering improvements along the main Niko Engineering Off Wire and Cable-Ita Faaji to Opopin Road and its connecting spurs to All Saints College Road and Akinyo Close.
