An update and pictures of the construction of the 76.7 km Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso Road. The Oyo State Government awarded the project to two contractors: Kopek Construction Ltd is handling the 38.1 km Iseyin End which covers Iseyin-Apewo Village with a 65m span bridge, and Craneburg Construction Ltd is handling the 38.57 km Ogbomoso End which covers Apewo Village–Ogbomoso with a 45m bridge and underpass.
The Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso Road provides vital inter-zone connectivity between the Ogbomoso and Oke Ogun Zones of Oyo State as well as easy access between the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Campus in Ogbomoso and the Iseyin Campus. The Oyo State Government is also constructing other major roads that connect zones in Oyo State.
