A further update and pictures of the ongoing rehabilitation of the 45.3km Saki-Ogbooro-Igboho Road. The road is being rehabilitated by Messrs China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) Nigeria Ltd using the Alternative Project Funding Approach (APFA).
The project had an expected date of completion of May 2022 but is now running behind schedule. On July 23, 2022, the Oyo State Ministry of Works and Transport inspected the pace of the project and asked that the contractor shows more commitment to finishing the project. The Saki-Ogbooro-Igboho Road remains strategic for the socio-economic development of Oke-Ogun Zone as the road connects three local government areas (LGAs) – Saki West, Saki East and Oorelope.
