Ongoing Reconstruction of the 6 km Idiko-Ile – Ayegun Road

An update on the ongoing reconstruction of the 6 km Idiko-Ile – Ayegun Road in Iwajowa Local Government Area. The project which is being executed by the Iwajowa Local Government Council, was awarded to Messrs SPG Construction Nigeria Ltd.

In December 2022, Governor Seyi Makinde revealed the Iwajowa Local Government Council’s plan to reconstruct the road and the project commenced in January 2023. While on the campaign trail in February 2023, Governor Makinde inspected the ongoing reconstruction. When completed, the project will ease vehicular movement in that axis and ensure that farmers and agribusinesses in that area such as Brent Farms Ltd have access to markets.
