An update and pictures of the ongoing road rehabilitation of the 37.1 km Alako-Idiya-Batake-Olowa Farm Settlement-Ijaiye in Ido LGA under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP).
Work is still ongoing on the 37.1 km Alako-Idiya-Batake-Olowa Farm Settlement-Ijaiye Road in Ido Local Government Area under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP).
Rehabilitation works have continued along the agricultural corridor, which connects several farm settlements and rural communities, since our last update.
The Alako-Idiya-Batake-Olowa Farm Settlement-Ijaiye Road project involves earthworks, drainage improvements, culvert construction and single-coat surface dressing, with the works designed to improve the road’s structure, manage water flow and provide a more durable surface.
The road provides an important connection to the Oyo State Agribusiness Industrial Hub, Ijaiye, making the route particularly relevant to the movement of agricultural produce between surrounding farm settlements and the hub.
The rehabilitation of the 37.1 km road is expected to improve rural access, strengthen the connection between farming communities and markets, and support agricultural activity along the corridor when completed.
