Latest Update on the Dualisation of the 7.3 km Agodi Gate-Old Ife Road-Adegbayi Junction with a spur to Alakia-Ibadan Airport (3.3 km), Ibadan

A third update and pictures of the ongoing dualisation of the 7.3 km Agodi Gate-Old Ife Road-Adegbayi Junction with a spur to Alakia-Ibadan Airport (3.3 km), Ibadan. The contract which was awarded to Charvet Nigeria Limited by the Oyo State Government was revoked for non-performance as the progress of the project stalled.

Thereafter, the dualisation of the 7.3 km Agodi Gate-Old Ife Road-Adegbayi Junction with a spur to Alakia-Ibadan Airport (3.3 km) was re-awarded to Kopek Construction Ltd. It was inspected by Governor Seyi Makinde on March 27, 2023, where he revealed that work on the Onipepeye Bridge was completed and the work on the underpass was ongoing. A portion of the underpass has been opened for use to motorists and commuters while work is ongoing on the dualisation project.

The completion of the dualisation of the 7.3 km Agodi Gate-Old Ife Road-Adegbayi Junction with a spur to Alakia-Ibadan Airport (3.3 km) will also ease movement to and from the Ibadan Airport.
