New Update: Construction of Terminals 1 and 2 – Iwo Road Bus Interchange

An update and pictures of the ongoing construction of Terminals 1 and 2 – Iwo Road Bus Interchange, Ibadan; the last two of the four bus terminals being constructed by the Oyo State Government. Both terminals at Iwo Road and New Ife Road are already being linked by a pedestrian bridge to enable easy access by commuters. The other two completed terminals at Challenge and Ojoo are in use by commuters.

In the Oyo State Roadmap for Sustainable Development 2023-2027, Governor Seyi Makinde assured that the Iwo Road Bus Interchange will be completed within the first year of being re-elected. Like the completed Challenge and Ojoo Bus Terminals, the Iwo Road Bus Interchange will contain administrative offices, restaurants and shops amongst other facilities. The completion of all four bus terminals is in keeping with the government’s plans to modernise the transportation system in Oyo State.
