An update and pictures of the ongoing reconstruction of the Ikolaba (Main) Road Network (3.5 km) by the Ibadan North Local Government Council.

The Ikolaba (Main) Road Network project involves the full asphaltic paving and reconstruction of the road network, aimed at improving accessibility, easing movement, and enhancing road infrastructure within the Ikolaba axis.

The road project is being executed by Trackcare Construction Company and covers a total length of about 3.5 kilometres with an average width of 12 metres.

The reconstruction project commenced on 22 January 2026 and is expected to run for six months, with a proposed completion date of July 2026. Work is currently on schedule, with over 70% of the project already completed.

Upon completion of the asphalt works, road markings and other finishing elements are expected to be carried out to improve traffic management and road safety.

The reconstruction is expected to significantly improve movement for residents, commuters, businesses, and other road users around the Ikolaba corridor, while also contributing to ongoing infrastructure development efforts within Ibadan North Local Government Area.

Local Governments across Oyo State have continued to execute projects in their respective areas and jointly. See some from the past years till 8 December 2025 under this administration.
