A further update on the construction of a 500,000-litre capacity aviation tank farm at the Ibadan Airport. This is part of the plans of the Oyo State Government to upgrade the Ibadan Airport to an international standard and make the airport a regional hub for air transportation. The project will ensure that aircraft can refuel in Ibadan thus providing an alternative to airports in other West African countries.
On October 1, 2022, Governor Seyi Makinde inspected the aviation tank farm project at the Ibadan Airport which is running slightly behind schedule of its September 2022 completion date. The revised completion date is now November 2022.
