An update and pictures from the ongoing construction of the 2.5 km Elebu-Oritamerin-Abese Road by the Ido Local Government Council.
Repeated complaints were raised about the condition of the Elebu-Oritamerin-Abese Road, highlighting the challenges faced by residents and other road users along the route.
In response to the need for improved access, the Ido Local Government Council is currently constructing the 2.5 km road, with work ongoing across the route.
The road connects the Elebu, Oritamerin and Abese communities and serves as an important route for everyday movement within the area. Its rehabilitation is expected to improve access and ease movement for residents, businesses and other road users once completed.
The Ido Local Government Council is also working on the 6.8 km Niko Engineering Off Wire and Cable-Ita Faaji to Opopin Road with Spurs to All Saints College Road and Akinyo Close, Ibadan. Local Government Councils around the State continue to function, notably, by bringing the dividends of democracy closer to the people.
