An update and pictures of the ongoing rehabilitation of the General-Orita Naira-Oja Igbo-Abede Road (3.3 km) in Ogbomoso North LGA. The Oyo State Government has commenced the rehabilitation of selected feeder roads in Ogbomoso North and South LGAs. This follows the assurance given by Governor Seyi Makinde during his visit to the Soun of Ogbomosoland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, on 30 September 2025, where he promised to improve road infrastructure in Ogbomoso.

One of the roads currently undergoing rehabilitation is the General–Orita Naira–Oja Igbo–Abede Road (3.3 km) in Ogbomoso North Local Government Area. The project involves the rehabilitation and reconstruction of this key feeder road, which serves residential communities, markets, and commercial activities within the area. When completed, the road will significantly improve intra-city movement, enhance safety for road users, and reduce travel time for residents and traders.

This intervention forms part of the broader urban infrastructure development drive by the Oyo State Government, and complements major investments already delivered in the zone, including the completed 76.67 km Iseyin–Fapote–Ogbomoso Road. Together, these projects are expected to boost mobility, stimulate local economic activities, and support sustainable urban development in Ogbomoso and Oyo State at large.
