An update and pictures from the ongoing reconstruction and rehabilitation of the 30 km Okaka Junction-Otu-Igbojaiye-KAP Film Village Road in Itesiwaju Local Government Council. The project includes the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the 30 km road and the construction of bridges over the Otu and Ofiki Rivers.
The Okaka Junction-Otu-Igbojaiye-KAP Film Village Road project was approved by the Oyo State Executive Council on 9 September 2025, for the sum of N26,482,664,312.33. It is estimated to be completed in 18 months.
The road serves as a key link to the KAP Film Village and Resort, an emerging creative hub that is expected to attract film production, tourism, and investment opportunities to the Oke Ogun Zone and Oyo State at large. Governor Seyi Makinde had first pledged to rehabilitate the road during his visit to the unveiling of the Film Village on 13 April 2025.
Once completed, the road will improve access to the KAP Film Village and Resort and ease transportation for local communities, while stimulating economic activities in the surrounding areas.
