The construction of the 3.78 km Akala Way-Akobo Junction has commenced, marking a significant step forward in the State’s ongoing infrastructure development efforts. The road goes from Akala Estate to Akobo Junction.
This road project is strategically designed to ease traffic congestion and enhance connectivity within the Akobo axis in Lagelu Local Government Area. Once completed, it is expected to improve mobility, boost local economic activities, and stimulate residential and commercial development in the surrounding areas.
Scope of Work:
- Construction of hydraulic structures
- Execution of earthworks
- Asphaltic tarring of the road
Current Status:
- Drainage construction is in progress
- Earthworks and asphalt surfacing to follow in subsequent phases
The Akala Way-Akobo Junction Project reaffirms the State Government’s commitment to delivering sustainable infrastructure that supports urban expansion, improves the quality of life for residents, and fosters inclusive growth across communities.
