A further update and pictures of the construction of the 76.7km Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso Road. The project was awarded to two contractors by the Oyo State Government. The first half is being handled by Kopek Construction Ltd which covers Iseyin-Apewo Village (38.1km) with a 65m span bridge, while the second half is handled by Craneburg Construction Ltd which covers Apewo Village–Ogbomoso (38.57km) with a 45m bridge and underpass.
Recently, the Ogbomoso and Iseyin Ends of the Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso Road project were visited and inspected by Governor Seyi Makinde. Once completed, the Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso Road will provide vital inter-zone connectivity between the Ogbomoso and Oke Ogun Zones of Oyo State and provide easy access between the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology campus in Ogbomoso and the Iseyin campus.
The project which was awarded in December 2021 and is expected to be completed in 15 months is progressing as it should.
