An update on the construction of the 76.7km Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso Road project that was awarded to two contractors by the Oyo State Government. Kopek Construction Ltd was awarded the first half of the road that covers Iseyin-Apewo Village (38.1km) with a 65m span bridge; Craneburg Construction Ltd was awarded the second half of the road that covers Apewo Village–Ogbomoso (38.57km) with a 45m bridge and underpass.
In keeping with Governor Seyi Makinde’s promise to provide vital inter-zone connectivity to foster development in the state, the full stretch of the Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso Road will link the Oke-Ogun and Ogbomoso Zones of Oyo State. It will also provide easy access between the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology campus in Ogbomoso and the Iseyin campus.
The construction of the road which was awarded in December 2021, is expected to be completed in 15 months.
