An update and pictures of the completed construction of Omololu Olunloyo. The construction of the Omololu Olunloyo Park, located at the entrance of the 3.2 km Omololu Olunloyo Airport Road, Ibadan, has been completed.
The park is part of the Oyo State Government’s broader plan to stimulate economic activity and transform the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport, Ibadan axis into an aerotropolis, creating a functional and aesthetically appealing gateway into the city.
The Omololu Olunloyo Park features landscaped gardens, architectural and cultural design elements, a viewing gallery, car parking facilities, and public conveniences. The parking area is designed to support transport services to and from the Ibadan Airport, improving accessibility and passenger movement within the area.
With the completion of the park, the airport corridor gains an organised public space that enhances the environment, supports mobility, and contributes to the long-term development vision for the area.
