In keeping with his promise to continue all viable programmes uncompleted by his predecessors, Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration has completed several outstanding projects which they inherited, and commenced projects of their own in the basic education sector.
This was made possible by the payment of the outstanding UBEC counterpart funding for 2018 and the payment of UBEC counterpart funding for 2019, to access matching grants to carry out infrastructural projects in the basic education sector.
The following numbers of FGN-UBEC/Oyo SUBEB Intervention Projects 2012-2017, awarded in 2018 were completed by the current administration.

Block of 4 classrooms – 4
Block of 3 classrooms – 8
Early Child Development (ECD) Centres – 2
Renovations – 38
Toilets – 14
Boreholes – 5
Furniture – 10 lots to 36 schools
