Swearing in of Commissioners
His Excellency Seyi Makinde swore in ten new commissioners to the Oyo State Executive Council. During the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Makinde charged the commissioners to hit the ground running. He also urged a more integrated approach and interministerial collaborations as they carry out their duties. (October 11, 2021)
Swearing-in Ceremonies
Governor Seyi Makinde swore in the President of Oyo State Customary Court of Appeal, five other Judges this week. In separate ceremonies, Governor Makinde reiterated that the executive will continue to collaborate with the judiciary to deliver good governance to the people of Oyo State.
Justice Mahmud Abass was sworn in as the President of the Customary Court of Appeal. Mrs Olusola Adebisi Adejutoye, Mrs Beatrice Folabimpe Segun-Olukojo, Prof. Elijah Taiwo Adewale and Dr Kareem Adeyimika Adedokun, were sworn in as high court judges, while Mrs Olubukola Omolayo Ajadi was sworn in as a judge of the Customary Court of Appeal.

Working Visit
The Chairman of Fiscal Efficiency and Budget Committee, Alhaji Adamu Shettima Yuguda, paid a working visit to Oyo State, to appraise the state’s readiness for investment into the tourism, solid minerals and trade sector. While receiving the chairman, Governor Seyi Makinde said the Oyo State Government was ready to access part of the Development of Natural Resources Fund (DNRF) to revamp the tourism, solid mineral resources and trade sectors. He commended Alhaji Yuguda for acceding to the request of coming to Oyo State, a step towards accessing the fund. (October 12, 2021)
