This is a report of the third public hearing of the Oyo State Judicial Panel of Inquiry into Police Brutality, Violation of Rights of Citizens and Unlawful Killings in Oyo State.
Venue: The House of Chiefs, Oyo State House of Assembly, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The public sitting for today kicked off at exactly 9:03am after it was declared open by the Chairperson of the Oyo State Judicial Panel, Hon Justice Badejoko Adeniji.
Cases at the Oyo State Judicial Panel
1. Case No. OYJPPB/021
Chief Tunde Mustapha v Unknown Hoodlums. There is no respondent in this case but the petitioner was represented by his son, Kolawole Wasiu Mustapha.
Subject to the convenience of the Oyo State Judicial Panel, the petition was adjourned till February 11, 2021 for definite hearing with a condition that the petitioner should be in court to prove his case.
2. Case No. OYJPPB/022
Shaguna George Gbenga v Nigeria Police, Alabebe Police Station. The petitioner was present while CSP Funke Fawole and Barr. O. J. Matthew appeared on behalf of the respondent. CSP Fawole claimed not to have been served with the processes due to administrative constraints. She therefore urged the Oyo State Judicial Panel to give more time so that all of the processes can be collated and they can appear properly before the panel.
The petition was therefore adjourned by the Oyo State Judicial Panel till February 24, 2021 for mention.
3. Case No. OYJPPB/024
Mrs. Oluwabunmi Adeogun v Attorney General of the Federation and five others. The petitioner was absent but was represented by A. O. Oguntoyinbo (Esq.). The legal counsel apologised for the absence of her client.
The case was adjourned by the Oyo State Judicial Panel till February 17, 2021.
4. Case No. OYJPPB/025
Mr Emmanuel A. Imomoh v Inspector General of Police and 3 Others (Inspector General of Police, The Nigeria Police, Commissioner of Police Oyo State). The petitioner was absent but represented by O. A. Oguntoyinbo (Esq.). While the respondent was represented by CSP Funke Fawole.
As such, the petition was adjourned by the Oyo State Judicial Panel till February 17, 2021 for mention so that the police and the Officer in Charge Legal would be served with necessary processes, for adequate preparations.
5. Case No. OYJPPB/025
Alhaji Ganiyu Ajiboye Busari v Oyo State Police Command. The petitioner was present and represented by Kingsley Ike and I. C. Onukawa. Meanwhile, CSP Funke Fawole appeared on behalf of the respondent.
With the approval of both parties, the petition was adjourned by the Oyo State Judicial Panel till February 24, 2021 for mention to ensure that the respondent is served with the necessary processes.
6. Case No. OYJPPB/026
Thomas Chinedu Dim and Joseph Dim v Oyo State Police Command. The petitioners were absent for the case mention. The Oyo State Judicial Panel concluded that fresh hearing notices should be issued to the parties involved.
The petition was adjourned by the Oyo State Judicial Panel till February 24, 2021.
7. Case No. OYJPPB/027
Odoye Kanike Community v Unknown Hoodlums. The community was represented by Ajayeoba Mercy Solola, Mrs Shinatu Ketenfe and Mrs Fatimo Adeyemo.
The petition was adjourned by the Oyo State Judicial Panel till February 4, 202l for mention to enable the petitioner employ the services of the pro bono counsel.
8. Case No. OYJPPB/028
Mr Faluade Dare Alabi v The Officers, Ojoo Police Station. The petitioner was present. CSP Funke Fawole appeared on behalf of the respondent.
The petition was adjourned by the Oyo State Judicial Panel till February 24, 2021.
9. Case No. OYJPPB/029
Mr Tirimisiyu Sulu v Nigeria Police. The petitioner was present and also represented by Oluwatobi O. Fatoki (Esq.) while CSP Funke Fawole appeared on behalf of the respondent.
The petition was adjourned by the Oyo State Judicial Panel till February 17, 2021 for mention.
10. Case No. OYJPPB/030
Mrs Titilayo Joseph nee Adegbeha and Mr Oluyemi Samuel Adegbeha v Inspector General of Police and four others. The first petitioner was absent but the second petitioner appeared before the Oyo State Judicial Panel. The petitioners were also represented by Barr. Tunde Olupona, Bukunmi Adu, Ibrahim Adewunmi and Michael Adegbite. Meanwhile, Barr. Funke Fawole maintained appearance for the police.
The petition was adjourned by the Oyo State Judicial Panel till February 24, 2021.
