Inspection Visit
The Chairman of the Oyo State Housing Corporation (OYSHC), Barrister Bayo Lawal, inspected the ongoing construction of 360 housing units at Ajoda New Town Housing Estate, Ibadan. During the visit, Barrister Lawal stated that there are still opportunities for members of the public to subscribe to the housing units. He said the estate would come equipped with necessary unique facilities such as an industrial borehole, drainages, a good road network, electrification, and an easy link to the Ife-Ibadan and Lagos-Ibadan Expressways. Ramadan Public Lecture
Governor Seyi Makinde’s 8th annual Omi Tuntun Ramadan Public Lecture held in Ibadan with the Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland, Senator Rashidi Ladoja as Chairman. During the event, Governor Seyi Makinde urged the people of Oyo State to resist any attempts to divide them along religious lines. (April 19, 2022)
Inspection Tour
Governor Seyi Makinde inspected the new mass transit buses purchased by his administration at Pacesetter Transport Services, Ibadan. During the visit, Governor Makinde revealed that the buses, which will be launched soon, would provide a world-class transport service to the state. He also stated that he looked forward to a modern transportation system in Oyo State which would be driven by the Pacesetter Transport Services. (April 21, 2022)
Courtesy Visit
Retired Officers of the Department of State Services of Nigeria (Oyo State Chapter), led by its Chairman, Alhaji Lateef Akinola, paid Governor Seyi Makinde a courtesy visit in Ibadan. Speaking at the occasion, Alhaji Akinola commended Governor Makinde for his unique approach to the issue of security and the welfare of security officials in the state. In his response to him, Governor Makinde restated the commitment of his administration to the safety and security of the state. He also appreciated the serving officers and men of the Department of State Services for their cooperation with the Oyo State Government. (April 21, 2022)
