Resumed

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mrs Aminat Atere, announced that all 692 newly recruited Education Officers in Oyo State have resumed work across different Unity Schools and Technical Colleges in the state. According to Mrs Atere, their resumption concluded their documentation as Education Officers in the Oyo State Civil Service. (September 20, 2021)

Nominated

Governor Seyi Makinde sent the names of commissioner-nominees to the Oyo State House of Assembly for approval. Five former commissioners were recalled. They are Seun Fakorede, Dr  Wasiu Olatunbosun, Adeniyi Adebisi,  Barrister Rahman Abiodun Abdul-Raheem and Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye. The names of new nominees are: Mr Abiodun Oni, Prof Musibau Babatunde, Mr Segun Olayiwola, Dr Bode Ladipo and Alhaja Kafilat Omolabake Olayiwola. (September 21, 2021)

COVID-19 Expenditure

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Mrs Muftau Ayoola, disclosed that the state spends approximately N70 million monthly on the treatment of COVID-19 in its isolation centres across the state. She made the disclosure at the opening of the 2021 Pharmacy Week of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Oyo State chapter. She added that the expenses also covered the maintenance of the isolation centres, feeding and the hazard allowance of the frontline workers. (September 23, 2021)
